I have a problem with my smart i was updating my unit I had to go out so I tried to stop
It from updating by pushing the reset button on the rear and how it won't let me update
it .I should imagine it would be expencive if it goes back to sykes

Hi Doug,
Terminating the update process part way through will corrupt the flash memory, the Smart will then not be able to reboot correctly. This is common with firmware updates of a similar nature on many electronic devices. Unfortunately we do not have all the original Sykes engineering material or systems to update and maintain the Smart, and only in specific circumstances are we able to reprogram them. This would require an inspection and individual appraisal to establish feasibility and viability of repair. Please contact our technical line 0844 5617861 if you wish to discuss further.
